Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiologist

The radiology division within our organization is seeking a skilled interventional radiologist to join our team. Our facility is located in the picturesque Southern California region, specifically in the Inland Empire, conveniently positioned between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. This prime location allows for a variety of recreational activities, including surfing, desert camping, mountain skiing, and enjoying cultural events in Los Angeles, all within an hour's drive. Additionally, there are six major airports accessible within the same timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the expansion of a diverse array of interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Chemoembolization
  • Cryoablation
  • TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)
  • Venous thrombectomy
  • Mesenteric angiography
  • Trauma embolization
  • Core procedures such as biopsies, central lines, ports, and dialysis access
• This role offers the potential for 80-100% interventional radiology work.
• Opportunities for additional film interpretation are available for interested candidates.
• Participate in shared interventional call duties, including weekdays after 5 PM, weekends, and holidays. Weekend film reading is not required.

About Our Facility

Our organization is a 439-bed teaching hospital affiliated with a university, featuring over 60 primary and specialty care clinics throughout Riverside County. We host residents from various specialties, medical students, and critical care fellows. Recognized as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, our facility is a Level I Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, and has recently established a Center of Excellence for Research. A new radiology residency program, which includes an integrated clinical year, commenced in July 2022. The department is experiencing rapid growth to accommodate over 200,000 imaging examinations annually, alongside the ongoing installation of advanced equipment, including a state-of-the-art interventional suite.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $550,000 to $600,000, depending on years of experience and faculty rank for full-time employees. This figure does not encompass variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation plans.
