Opportunity Highlights:
  • Currently 4 Surgeons, seeking a 5th to enhance growth and innovation
  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will handle 1st call with inpatient rounding and clinic support
  • 24/7 intensivist support in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU)
  • Annual surgical case volume exceeding 1,000
  • Opportunity to support and expand LVAD programs
  • Leaders in beating heart surgery, robotic heart surgery, minimally invasive valve procedures, ECMO, VAD, TAVR, and TEVAR
  • Dedicated block time with 3 cardiovascular operating rooms, 1 hybrid room, and Da Vinci Xi/Si systems
  • Utilizing EMR EPIC
  • Involvement in General Surgery Residency Faculty
Opportunity Details:
  • Annual Salary: $905,260
  • Recruitment Incentive: $150,000; CME Allowance: $6,000
  • Annual Time Off: 5 Weeks

Established in 1970, our center is among the largest cardiovascular, cardiology, and vascular practices in the country, employing 44 physicians. We specialize in various fields including Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and General Cardiology. Our center has been recognized as one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Fortune/IBM Watson Health. With 8 primary locations and 15 outreach facilities across Iowa, we actively participate in STS Registries (adult, congenital, and anesthesia) and conduct over 10,000 cardiac interventions each year. Locally, we provide Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology, Vein Center services, and Advanced Heart Failure support alongside General and Interventional Cardiology.
