Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no LPNs)
• Previous experience managing G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator-dependent pediatric patients
• Strongly prefer candidates with prior critical care experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage medical emergencies as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, individualized care to a preschool student with complex medical needs throughout the school day
• Administer G-tube feedings, monitor trach and ventilator safety, and manage airway clearance protocols
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members
• Safeguard the student’s well-being during transit to and from school via bus
• Act as a caring advocate for the student’s medical, emotional, and educational needs
