Make an immediate impact in the lives of elementary-aged students by bringing your expertise in special education to a collaborative academic setting near Minneapolis, MN. As a resource room special education teacher, you’ll work with up to 22 students across multiple grade levels for the academic year, addressing a variety of learning needs. Your work will directly support students with individualized education plans, partnering closely with families, general education teachers, and related service providers to foster holistic student growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota teaching license, with certification in special education
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Strong understanding of multi-tiered systems of support, IEP processes, and data-driven instructional strategies
  • Ability to foster inclusive learning environments and form positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with state and federal special education laws

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction, interventions, and case management in an elementary resource room setting
  • Develop and implement IEPs aligned with district and state guidelines
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional plans as needed
  • Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessional staff, related service personnel, and family members
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development sessions
  • Create positive, structured environments that support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
