Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience or demonstrated passion for teaching students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with staff and families
- Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and intervention techniques
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom climate
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver tailored lesson plans that align with each student’s IEP and unique learning style
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and structured setting conducive to learning and growth
- Monitor and document student progress regularly, adapting strategies as needed
- Work in partnership with related service providers and support staff to maximize student success
- Maintain open and empathetic communication with families to encourage involvement and transparency
