Special Education Teacher in Black Eagle, MT

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing specialized instruction in resource-rich settings. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 18, 2026, through May 28, 2027, serving a dynamic group of middle and high school students. Most of your approximately 12-16 student caseload participates in a resource room environment, where your expertise will foster academic and personal growth. A small number of students have higher-level needs, but each is supported by a dedicated one-to-one paraprofessional to ensure a collaborative approach.

You'll work in an inclusive atmosphere where professional input is highly valued, and scheduling flexibility supports both your well-being and your ability to provide outstanding instruction. Interviews are currently being scheduled for passionate educators ready to elevate student experiences.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Montana Special Educator Certification (required)
• Experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs, especially in middle and high school settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and administration
• Flexibility and creativity in adapting curriculum for individual learning plans
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized instruction for middle and high school students primarily in a resource classroom setting
• Collaborate with support staff, including paraprofessionals assigned to students with higher-level needs
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
