A California Facility Seeks a Locum Tenens Pediatric Hospitalist

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in 24-hour on-call duties, with a minimum commitment of 7 shifts each month.
• Provide shift coverage from 6 AM to 6 AM.
• Work within a hospital environment.
• Manage a daily inpatient census of newborns, typically ranging from 0 to 6.
• Handle 0 to 2 admissions daily.
• Perform essential medical procedures including intubation, IV starts, lumbar punctures, non-invasive ventilation, and umbilical venous catheterization.

Qualifications

• Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are mandatory.
• Board certification is required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranges from $125.00 to $150.00, with variations based on factors such as position urgency, your experience, and qualifications.
• All rates are inclusive, combining base pay with potential earnings from overtime, on-call duties, and holiday work.
