Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise in regional anesthesia and obstetric anesthesia.
  • Manage a diverse range of cases, including:
    • General Surgery
    • Urology
    • Retina
    • Gynecology
    • Vascular
    • Orthopedics
    • Podiatry
    • Dentistry
    • ENT
    • Endoscopy
    • Thoracic
    • Occasional Pediatrics
  • Oversee operations in 9 operating rooms and manage 1-3 endoscopy rooms daily.
  • Support the catheterization lab as required and cover the Burdett Care Center, our Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, primarily working within an Anesthesia Care Team model.

Troy, NY is conveniently located just north of Albany, the state capital. The area offers easy access to Saratoga, the Adirondacks, and the Berkshires, providing endless outdoor activities throughout the year. Additionally, we are within a 2-3 hour drive from the Finger Lakes region, New York City, and Boston. The Capital Region features an excellent public school system along with various private schooling options. Albany International Airport is also easily reachable.

Compensation and Benefits

We are pleased to offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • Annual salary of $600,000
  • On-call ratio of 1:8, with optional extra shifts available for additional pay
  • Day off following on-call duty
  • Optional second call with additional compensation
  • Signing bonus of $100,000 for a two-year commitment
  • Quality bonus available after the second year
  • 8 weeks of vacation plus 1 week for Continuing Medical Education (CME)
