Job Opportunity: Maternal Fetal Medicine Medical Director

Our organization is on the lookout for a passionate and seasoned Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Medical Director to spearhead our Regional Maternal Fetal Medicine team based in West Michigan. This pivotal role involves providing physician leadership and oversight for our Maternal Fetal Medicine Service Line, working closely with the Administrative & Clinical Director for Women’s & Children’s Services in a collaborative dyad relationship alongside our OB/GYN Medical Directors in Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Direct and manage the Maternal Fetal Medicine service line, ensuring the delivery of top-notch care for complex maternal fetal cases.
  • Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered services for individuals facing high-risk pregnancies, including diagnostic, consultative, and management services. Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Program Development: Partner with administrative and clinical leaders to develop and enhance our Maternal Fetal Medicine program. The Medical Director will be accountable for the performance of assigned offices and programs in the West Michigan area, focusing on quality, service excellence, colleague engagement, stewardship, and financial objectives.
  • Education and Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to medical students and residents.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine practice.
  • Preferred: At least 2 years in a leadership role or completion of training specific to this position.
  • Physicians must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible, with a commitment to achieving board certification within 2 years of eligibility.
  • A valid State of Michigan license is required upon employment.
  • DEA license.
  • ACLS and BLS certification.
