Job Opportunity: Cardiac Physician Assistant

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated Cardiac Physician Assistant with a genuine interest in cardiothoracic surgery services to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate will be committed to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to inpatient care, working closely with our Cardiothoracic Surgeons.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patients in the CVICU and CVIMC, as well as those in the step-down unit.
• Participate in adult cardiac surgery, including Aortic surgery, Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery, Thoracic surgery, and the Hybrid Maze procedure for Atrial Fibrillation treatment.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives by participating in the STS Registry and benchmarking performance.
• Contribute to the advancement of the cardiothoracic field through involvement in clinical research, program development, and educational opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant medical license in Florida.
• Valid registration for controlled substances in Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of inpatient Surgical Cardiac CV experience.
• A robust medical background with a passion for developing a practice within a growing multi-specialty medical group.
