Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care through an active consultation service at our medical center and outpatient clinics.
- Deliver both outpatient and inpatient services at the Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
- Collaborate with a team, including nurse practitioners, and benefit from excellent support staff for prior authorization and documentation.
- Participate in shared inpatient services among physicians, with plans to expand the division to lessen individual call responsibilities.
- A strong commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and research.
- Willingness to engage with fellows, residents, and students on a weekly basis.
- Interest in participating in clinical trials and health services research.
- Ability to provide care to underserved populations through partnerships with local health systems.
The Division of Rheumatology currently consists of 5.5 faculty members, with plans to expand to 9 full-time positions. We emphasize faculty development and physician wellness, offering various programs such as:

Research and Clinical OpportunitiesWe host a two-year fellowship program with three fellows each year, providing a rich environment for learning and collaboration. Our division encompasses seven specialized centers, including:
- Center for Arthritis
- Lupus Center
- Scleroderma Center
- Myositis Center
- Sjogren’s Syndrome Center
- Vasculitis Center
- Center for Bone Health and Osteoporosis
These centers not only enhance patient care but also create opportunities for research participation. We manage the Fracture Liaison Service and infusion centers at our affiliated hospitals, with ultrasound machines available for various diagnostic procedures.
Compensation and BenefitsThe starting base salary for this position ranges from $300,000 to $330,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
