Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Anoka, MN area seeks a dedicated Pharmacist for an 8-week contract assignment in the Fridley/Minneapolis region. This role requires flexibility in shift times and weekend rotations, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Schedule:

  • Flexible shifts: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:30 PM
  • Rotating Saturdays and Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal regulations and patient safety.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and detect potential over-usage issues.
  • Maintain confidential and precise patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and answer related queries.
  • Conduct consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Offer additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on the proper handling of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following strict protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy team members including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain pharmaceutical and medical inventory at appropriate levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacy interns, and other healthcare professionals to address drug-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Minnesota Pharmacist license.
  • Open to retail pharmacists with or without extensive experience; training provided as needed.
  • Ability to work varied shifts and weekend rotations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
