Staff Pharmacist

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We're hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a full-time contract opportunity with a long term care pharmacy in Salt Lake City. This is a great opportunity for retail pharmacists looking to expand into the LTC setting, with training provided and a consistent weekly schedule.

Position Details

• 12 week contract
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Wednesday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Saturday & Sunday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Review medication profiles for safety, appropriateness, and compliance
• Counsel patients on prescription and over the counter medications
• Monitor for drug interactions, adverse effects, and medication-related concerns
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Prepare and compound medications, including sterile preparations as needed
• Assist with inventory management and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff

Requirements

• Active Utah Pharmacist License in hand
• Retail or long term care pharmacy experience
• Ability to work the scheduled shifts, including weekends
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a long term care pharmacy setting
