Chronic Pain Anesthesiology Opportunity at Our Organization in Pittsburgh, PA

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible fellowship-trained interventional pain physician to become part of a well-established practice at our facility located in the Falk Medical Building. This position, affiliated with a prominent university, offers a fantastic chance to collaborate with fellow physicians in a cutting-edge environment, engage in inpatient services, and explore research interests, with .6 clinical efforts for FY27. We provide a competitive compensation package that includes salary, incentives, benefits, retirement plans, and malpractice coverage, along with CME funding of $4,110 each fiscal year.

About Our Pain Medicine Division

The Pain Medicine Division at our organization is dedicated to comprehensive research, clinical care, and educational initiatives focused on assessing and treating a wide array of pain, disability, and rehabilitation issues. Our division employs an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together skilled professionals from various specialties, including medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychology. This holistic treatment strategy addresses the intricate interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors involved in pain perception and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing and diagnosing pain disorders while developing suitable treatment plans, including interventions and medical management.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients and identify candidates for multimodal treatment strategies.
  • Overseeing advanced practice providers (APPs) and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participating in rotating weekend coverage.
  • Providing holiday coverage (one holiday per year).
  • Conducting outpatient clinic sessions in the Falk Medical Building and inpatient rounds in Oakland.

Qualifications

  • Current DEA registration.
  • ABA Certification in Pain Management.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications.
