Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract position supporting students across a variety of educational environments. This full-time role offers an engaging schedule of 40 hours a week, providing care and health guidance within PreK programs and schools in the surrounding area.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- California School Nurse Credential required
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and case management skills
- Familiarity with PreK-12 student health needs, including chronic condition management and emergency response
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and external healthcare providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing services to students, including medication administration, management of injuries and illnesses, and emergency interventions
- Support the health and wellness of students in PreK, elementary, and district school settings
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with medical needs
- Promote a healthy, safe, and inclusive environment for all children
- Conduct health screenings, maintain accurate health records, and ensure compliance with state and district regulations
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students, families, and staff on health-related matters
