Are you fluent in American Sign Language and passionate about empowering the Deaf community? A respected nonprofit organization is seeking a Deaf Services Advocate to provide advocacy, case management, and independent living services to individuals who are d/Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, Deaf Disabled, and Late-Deafened.

What You'll Do
Provide advocacy, case management, and resource coordination services.
Assist consumers with housing navigation, employment readiness, benefits access, transportation, healthcare resources, and independent living goals.
Maintain case files, service plans, documentation, referrals, and follow-up activities.
Conduct workshops, presentations, and community outreach events.
Partner with employers, housing providers, Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Center, Medi-Cal, CalAIM, and other community organizations.
Deliver services in Irvine and at the Department of Rehabilitation office in Laguna Hills.
Qualifications
Required
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
Strong knowledge and understanding of Deaf Culture.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with the Deaf community or in a related human services field.
Experience with case management, advocacy, community outreach, social services, or independent living support.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, databases, and case management systems.
Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Preferred
Experience with Department of Rehabilitation programs.
Knowledge of Regional Center, CalAIM, Medi-Cal, or benefits counseling.
Housing advocacy or affordable housing navigation experience.
Employment services or vocational support experience.
Workshop facilitation and public speaking skills.
Familiarity with disability rights and independent living philosophy.
