Hospitalist Needed on the Outer Banks in North Carolina

Job Opportunity: Board Certified Hospitalist

We are seeking a Board Certified Hospitalist to join our team, covering 14 shifts each month. The schedule consists of 7 consecutive days on followed by 7 days off, with each shift lasting 12 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an average patient census of 8 to 10 during the day and 15 to 20 at night.
• Handle approximately 6 admissions during the day and 2 at night.
• Conduct rounds in the ICU and respond to emergency codes.
• Perform essential procedures including:
  • Ventilator management
  • Central line placements
  • Thoracentesis
  • Intubations

Requirements and Qualifications

• Board Certification in Hospital Medicine.
• Ability to work independently, as there is no mid-level support.
• No responsibilities for backup in the emergency room.
