An established global aerospace organization is seeking an experienced MRO Team Lead to oversee daily maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations within a state-of-the-art aircraft component repair facility. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced aviation maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, operational excellence, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily maintenance and repair operations by assigning work, balancing labor resources, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring on-time completion of aircraft component repairs.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of A&P mechanics through daily meetings, performance management, technical mentoring, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, quality standards, safety procedures, repair station requirements, and company operational policies while promoting a zero-defect culture.
  • Monitor operational KPIs including turnaround time, productivity, work-in-process, overtime, and rework while driving process improvements using ERP systems and production reporting tools.
Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required (or ability to obtain a Repairman Certificate upon hire if not currently licensed).
  • Minimum 5 years of aerospace maintenance experience with leadership or supervisory experience in an aviation maintenance or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of FAA maintenance requirements, technical documentation, aircraft repair processes, ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, or similar), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate teams and improve operational performance.
Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience within an FAA repair station or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience as an aviation technician in commercial aviation or military aviation.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, Lean manufacturing, or 5S programs.
Location: Painfield, IN - Onsite M-F / 1st Shift - Modern facility
