\nLocated in Plymouth Meeting, PA, Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital is a multi-service animal hospital offering general practice, specialty services, 24/7 emergency care, boarding, grooming, daycare, and rehabilitation. \nWhat You ll Do
\nAs a Cardiology Veterinary Technician at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital, you will be an essential part of a team providing top-tier care for pets facing heart disease and cardiac conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiograms, ECGs, and radiographs \n
- Positioning, sedating, and monitoring patients during procedures \n
- Preparing patients for cardiology appointments, including reviewing and interpreting bloodwork, medical history, and diagnostics \n
- Administering and monitoring medications, ensuring safe and accurate patient care \n
- Communicating effectively and empathetically with clients during consultations, discharges, and follow-up updates \n
- Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting seamless case management \n
- Collaborating closely with board-certified cardiologists and fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care \n
- Supporting other hospital teams as needed once Cardiology duties are complete, including assisting with anesthesia or emergency tasks when applicable \n

\nAnticipated Schedule
\nThis is a full-time position with the following schedule:

- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with one day per week spent at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates \n
Compensation

- Starting at $24.00/hour \n

\nWhat We re Looking For
\nWe re seeking Veterinary Technicians who thrive when caring for animals, solving problems under pressure, and working collaboratively. Our ideal candidate has:

- 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting; cardiology experience is appreciated \n
- CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred \n
- Strong proficiency with patient monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and cardiac diagnostics \n
- Solid understanding of veterinary medical terminology, medications, and disease processes \n
- Strong communication skills for client education and team collaboration \n
- Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment \n
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care \n
