We are seeking an Occupational Therapy professional to support school-aged children and help them achieve their fullest potential. This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated OT or a highly experienced OTA with a background in educational settings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Demonstrated experience working in school-based settings
- Strong familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams, families, and related service providers
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and compassionate approach to working with students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for development
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within classroom, small group, or one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student participation and success in school activities
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress notes in compliance with all regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide informed recommendations for accommodations or modifications
