This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to serve as an itinerant Special Education Teacher, working with approximately 30 students and providing essential services within a supportive network.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (emergency permits are not accepted)
  • Experience or strong interest in early childhood special education
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple community preschool settings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Dedication to advocating for, and nurturing, students with diverse learning needs

What You'll Do:

  • Provide individualized and group instruction to preschool students according to their IEP goals
  • Travel between community preschools to deliver direct services and consult with general education staff
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service personnel to create cohesive support plans for each student
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to help shape each child’s learning experience
  • Access guidance and training at the onset to ensure a smooth transition into your role
