OB Hospitalist - PRN

Job Overview

Our organization is in search of a PRN OB/Gyn Hospitalist physician to become a part of our Women’s Health division.

This practice benefits from around-the-clock in-house anesthesia support and features a level III NICU. Furthermore, we offer a comprehensive Women’s Health service line that includes 18 general OB/GYN practitioners, a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, a urogynecologist, and a gynecological oncologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in 24-hour in-house call shifts.
• Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for obstetric patients from our outpatient clinic and local community practices.
• Conduct gynecologic consultations and manage surgical cases for inpatient units and the emergency department.
• Serve as a physician backup for complex obstetrical cases.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services, with each physician's scope of practice defined by the health system’s credentialing and privileging committee.

Essential Qualifications

• A Doctorate from an accredited medical institution is mandatory.

Licensure and Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
