Job Overview
The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing and evaluating patients to create tailored treatment plans that align with their specific conditions. This role involves tracking patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed, and providing education to patients to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications- Patient Age Range: All age groups.
- Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree is essential, with a preference for coursework in Physical Therapy.
- Strong understanding of Physical Therapy theories, methodologies, practices, and equipment.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
- Comprehensive knowledge of potential hazards, necessary precautions, and remedial actions in patient treatment and care.
- Capability to evaluate and implement treatment programs for both simple and complex therapy diagnoses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must hold a current Physical Therapy license in Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience in rehabilitation services within a hospital setting is advantageous.
- Higher education such as a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
- Less than one year of clinical experience in relevant areas such as acute care or outpatient settings is necessary.
