\nThe Facility Maintenance Technician position optimizes the department workflow, quality, & efficiency through maintaining systems, a well-trained & an effective / collaborative team environment. This position supports the WWT facility, SST Facility, Pre-Treatment facility, Solidification, & CW processing. The position is responsible for maintaining equipment & systems to provide dependable support to the Lancaster & Baltimore locations. They will support plant operations in an accurate & efficient manner while observing regulatory requirements & company safety policies / procedures.

Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Performs inspection, maintenance, & repairs on all treatment plant equipment (tanks, valves, pumps, hoses, etc.) \n
- Tracks and monitors all maintenance work \n
- Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment - service and repair machines and their parts that operate primarily based on mechanical principles according to company, state and federal rules and regulations \n
- Ensures all jobs in the shop & plant area are completed in a proficient & safe manner \n
- Uses computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders/task list including diagnostic programs for engines and hydraulic systems, etc. \n
- Ensures all personal protective equipment is used as required \n
- Monitors garage & plant for supply stock \n
- General housekeeping in both maintenance and operating areas using prescribed company procedures \n
- Establishes & maintains effective communication / coordination with staff & management: \n

- Provide professional & respectful treatment to drivers, visitors, employees, & management \n
- Inform management of area activities & significant problems \n
- Carry a communication device & monitor it at all times while clocked in \n
\n - Performs other duties as required \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- High School diploma or equivalent \n
- Valid driver’s license \n
- Basic welding/fabrication knowledge or experience required \n
- Mechanical knowledge of tools and machines, including their uses, repair, & maintenance \n
- 2+ years facility maintenance experience preferred \n
- Manages time effectively \n
- Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills \n
- Must be 21 years of age or older \n
- Must be able to read and comprehend service and repair manuals \n
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision \n
- Must keep work area clean, organized, and safe \n
