Step into a rewarding position supporting K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. Beginning August 10, 2026, and continuing through May 24, 2027, you'll have the opportunity to create a positive impact within educational environments near Plainfield, IL, working approximately 22.5 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in school settings or a strong interest in working with K-12 students
  • Solid understanding of pediatric and adolescent occupational therapy practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Commitment to helping students achieve their greatest levels of independence and participation in school activities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for K-12 students, identifying needs and developing tailored intervention plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support intervention strategies
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Engage with families and educators to provide insight and strategies to foster student progress beyond therapy sessions
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with school and district guidelines
