• The Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is the only facility in the state dedicated solely to cardiovascular care, featuring the only location performing left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implants and a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room.

• The Registered Nurse is accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, which includes overseeing patient care and managing staff assigned to their care.
• This role may involve serving as Charge Nurse, with accountability for professional nursing practices.
• Compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations is essential to ensure patient safety and adherence to standards.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma
• At least 1 year of RN experience in a hospital environment
• BLS certification must be acquired within 14 days of hire or transfer into the position, prior to delivering direct patient care.
• CPR certification
• A valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (to be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Department may also require ACLS and/or PALS certifications

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• National Certification in a clinical specialty
• Experience in the Operating Room
