A growing energy management firm is seeking an Energy Analyst for a direct hire opportunity in Oakland, CA. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys working with data, utility rates, energy usage, and cost-saving strategies that create measurable value for business clients.
The Energy Analyst will help evaluate customer utility rates, identify savings opportunities, support audit activity, and contribute to rate optimization initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer utility rates and determine whether more advantageous rate options are available.
- Calculate potential energy savings using Excel-based models and utility data.
- Provide recommendations and interpretive guidance related to rate optimization and energy cost reduction.
- Generate true-up reports for existing audits and support utility audit processes.
- Benchmark similar clients to identify abnormalities, trends, or irregularities in usage data.
- Assist with third-party rate optimization, bill audit calculations, Utility User Tax opportunities, tariff review, and audit model development.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $85,000 to $91,000 per year.
