Position: CCU Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Coronary Care Unit
Available Shifts: Days and Nights
Compensation: Up to $1,451 – $1,982 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $40.32 – $55.06 per hour.
Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

- Oversee the quality of care, documentation, and adherence to regulations.
- Implement prompt adjustments to care plans to enhance patient safety.
- Conduct rounds with patients and families to improve their experience.
- Act as a resource for patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Provide direct patient care as necessary to ensure safe staffing levels.
- Support daily operations of the unit and address any patient care or safety issues.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments effectively.
- Supervise, mentor, and assess staff performance; assist with performance evaluations.
- Ensure sufficient supplies, equipment functionality, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Oversee nursing staff and patient care during assigned shifts.
- Current and valid RN license in the state.
- Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain.
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain.
- At least one year of supervisory experience in an acute care hospital, specifically in a CCU setting.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital; critical care experience is required.
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certification to be obtained within six months of hire and maintained.
