School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Saint Charles, Missouri

Make a meaningful impact in a supportive school setting by providing dedicated care for an elementary student as a Registered Nurse. Located within easy reach of Union or Fenton, MO, this contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with a medically fragile child for the upcoming school year, starting 8/24. The district is searching for an RN who is open to a full-time paraprofessional role, or a part-time nursing schedule if preferred. This flexibility allows you to choose the arrangement that best suits your skills and lifestyle.

Qualifications / Desired Background:

• Current, active RN license in Missouri
• Previous pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate care and support for children with medical needs
• Willingness to work as a paraprofessional, in addition to nursing, on a full-time basis (or part-time nursing only)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile elementary student throughout the first half of each school day
• Monitor and attend to the student’s health needs, administering medication or interventions as needed
• Document care provided and communicate with school staff and other healthcare professionals
• Support the student’s participation in school activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment
• Collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals as part of a compassionate support team
