Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 3 through 5 at an intermediate educational setting. This role, spanning the academic year from September 8, 2026, through June 16, 2027, focuses on delivering specialized occupational therapy services that nurture young learners’ abilities and bolster their confidence as they engage with classroom tasks.
Your expertise will shine as you provide a mix of consultative and direct occupational therapy interventions, targeting fine motor development and sensory needs for a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students. The schedule offers notable flexibility: you will work either two full days or spread your hours across more days with shorter shifts, all between 8:05 am and 2:45 pm.
Key qualifications and background desired include:
- Active OT license, with school-based experience highly regarded
- Proven ability to consult collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Skill in direct intervention for fine motor and sensory challenges
- Capacity for clear documentation and effective communication with families and educational teams
- Strong organizational skills to balance consultative and hands-on service delivery
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide consultative support to teachers to enhance student access and participation
- Implement individualized therapy sessions, focusing on practical classroom skills
- Develop and monitor goals for student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with stakeholders
