Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with students in K-2, preferably in a self-contained setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and individualized instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive, structured classroom climate
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and needs
- Design engaging lessons using evidence-based strategies to promote academic and social-emotional development
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust instruction to achieve student goals
- Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent support
- Maintain accurate, organized documentation and adhere to regulatory requirements
