Step into a full-time contract opportunity supporting middle and high school students with exceptionalities for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the chance to significantly impact approximately 12-16 students in a resource room setting, with a dynamic mix of learners and strong paraeducator support for those with higher-level needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of Montana Special Educator Certification (required)
  • Experience delivering special education instruction, particularly in a resource room or similar environment
  • Commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth for diverse learners
  • Comfortable collaborating with paraprofessionals, general educators, and families
  • Strong organizational skills to manage case files, IEPs, and compliance timelines
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and employ a wide variety of teaching methods

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specially designed instruction to both middle and high school students, supporting individualized education plans
  • Primarily instruct in a resource room model, providing targeted interventions and academic support
  • Collaborate closely with a small team, coordinating with one-to-one paras for students with higher-level needs
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation to ensure ongoing student success and regulatory compliance
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families and school staff to promote student achievement and well-being
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing goals and progress monitoring
