Job Description

This contract, part-time opportunity allows you to support a diverse group of students by traveling between two to three campuses in Lake County, providing service to those who need it most. With a flexible schedule totaling 20 hours per week—spread across two to three days—you can maintain a great work-life balance while continuing to advance your professional skills.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years’ experience delivering occupational therapy services, with at least three years spent in a school environment
- Valid Illinois state licensure to provide occupational therapy, plus registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Dedication to fostering student growth, independence, and participation within the school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to K-8 students across assigned campuses
- Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans to promote academic and functional success
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Offer training and resources to school staff and parents to reinforce therapy strategies
