Desired Background and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington State
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is highly preferred
  • Solid grasp of IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary teams
  • Skillful in providing direct, consultative, and collaborative services
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Compassionate communicator who connects well with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ functional skills and develop appropriate OT intervention plans
  • Deliver therapy services individually or in groups according to student IEPs
  • Document progress and communicate results with team members and families
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEP planning, and facilitate transitions
  • Offer strategies to support fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills in the school environment
  • Provide consultative guidance to teachers and classroom staff for accommodations and modifications
