With three positions available and full-time hours during the school year, you’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues and play a critical role in your students’ growth and success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Kansas Special Education certification (SPED Cert in KS) required
- Experience working with middle school and high school students preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with teachers, students, and families
- Enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners across various needs and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality special education instruction in both Life Skills (middle school) and Resource (middle/high school) settings
- Adapt and modify curriculum based on student needs and IEP goals
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
- Partner with general education staff and related service providers for seamless inclusion
- Foster an encouraging, respectful, and structured classroom environment
- Effectively manage caseloads and meet compliance requirements
This assignment offers stability throughout the academic year (August through May), with approximately 37.5 hours of work per week.
