Job Description
We are currently seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team in Cooperstown, NY. Our organization now provides Daily Pay through a reliable third-party service, allowing you quicker access to your earnings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor the nutritional status of residents, offering recommendations to the medical team and creating comprehensive care plans.
- Evaluate the unique nutritional needs of residents, particularly concerning nutrition support, skin integrity, and significant weight management issues.
- Coordinate the acquisition of nutritional support supplies and oral supplements with external vendors and relevant department heads.
- Oversee meal service for residents to ensure adherence to dietary modifications.
- Provide education to residents, families, and staff on nutrition concepts and dietary adjustments.
- Regularly assess Dietary Care plans for effectiveness to maintain high standards of care.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the interdisciplinary team to review and modify residents’ care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the Speech-Language Pathologist to ensure residents with dysphagia receive appropriate mechanically altered diets.
- Review all menu changes to ensure compliance with facility policies and State/Federal regulations.
- Update diet orders and menu modifications in the computer menu software daily.
- Supervise and work alongside the dietary team to deliver exceptional care to residents.
- Conduct regular audits in areas related to quality nutrition care.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies regarding weight monitoring.
- Communicate daily with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care for residents.
- Must hold a valid Registered Dietitian credential.
- Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant state and federal guidelines.
- Proficient in computer skills, including EMR software and computer-based menu systems.
