Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a part-time Physical Therapist, supporting K–12 learners. This contract opportunity offers 10–20 hours per week during the 2026–2027 school year. You’ll collaborate with educators and families, delivering impactful services that foster growth and independence. The assignment begins August 11, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based environment (K–12 preferred)
- Familiarity with conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining records
- Proficiency with IEP systems, especially Siras or AbleSpace, is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving abilities
- Comfort working independently and traveling between multiple school sites (mileage will be covered)
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 20 K–12 students, with potential variance
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate physical therapy goals into students’ educational plans
- Conduct evaluations and participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to maximize student progress
- Implement and monitor individualized interventions designed to increase students’ functional mobility and participation
- Accurately document session data and progress, ensuring compliance with all school protocols and confidentiality policies
- Adapt services for diverse learners, creating a positive and inclusive environment
