Occupational Therapist School Setting in Pecos, NM

This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist interested in a rewarding role that balances flexibility with meaningful, student-centered work. You’ll provide expert care to a small, focused caseload and enjoy a consistent weekly schedule in a supportive educational environment.

Role Details:

• Work one day per week (Monday through Friday assigned based on client need)
• Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
• Start date: August 10, 2026
• Serve a caseload of approximately 8 students

Preferred Background:

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Demonstrated experience in a school-based OT setting
• Skills in home health and/or teletherapy OT services a bonus
• Must possess a valid Medicaid NCI #
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Commitment to providing quality care and supporting student goals
• Familiarity with IEP development and school-based documentation is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct student assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs
• Deliver direct OT services in school, with potential for some teletherapy or home health as assigned
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success
• Maintain thorough documentation within Medicaid and school standards
• Track student progress and adapt interventions as needed
