Qualifications & Experience:
- Eligible for South Carolina School Psychologist certification (out-of-state applicants must meet this requirement)
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a School Psychologist working in elementary school settings
- In-depth knowledge of South Carolina Special Education laws and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff, students, and families
- Ability to provide direct support services, consultation, and intervention planning
- Comfortable working onsite for the assignment duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments tailored to elementary age students
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive educational outcomes
- Deliver counseling and behavioral intervention services as needed
- Support crisis intervention and provide recommendations for student support strategies
