Job Description
Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Occupational Therapists looking to make an impact in school-based settings in the Norristown, PA area. Contract positions are open for both Early Intervention and School Age caseloads, offering a chance to support students’ growth and independence.
For Early Intervention, a full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to work five days per week with young children in community-based environments. This role focuses on helping children achieve developmental milestones and supporting families with care plans tailored to individual needs.
A separate opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to work three days each week supporting students in an Emotional Support program. This assignment will take place at a designated education center and involves helping school-aged children strengthen skills for classroom and daily living success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in schools or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and families
- Flexibility to adapt to various school and community settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver occupational therapy services in alignment with IEP goals and developmental targets
- Collaborate closely with educational teams, parents, and other providers
- Document progress and participate in regular team meetings
- Travel between assigned locations as needed
