Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a General Education Teacher in a vibrant junior high school setting. This full-time contract position runs for the 2026-2027 school year, providing the chance to inspire and guide learners each day. You’ll help shape a positive educational experience for students, working alongside dedicated colleagues and school staff.
The daily schedule offers consistent hours, from 7:30 AM to 2:21 PM, allowing an excellent work-life balance. As a valued educator, your role will focus on general teaching duties designed to foster academic growth and personal development in adolescents.
Ideal candidates will bring a passionate commitment to education and a collaborative spirit, as well as the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois teaching license and certification (required)
- CTE endorsement
- Prior experience in a school-based environment
- Skilled in planning, instructing, and assessing within a junior high context
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to engage in a 30-minute interview process
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in line with school curriculum
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet varying needs
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to enhance student achievement
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
