Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting a diverse educational community near Pasadena, TX. This onsite opportunity is available immediately and runs through May 2027, offering a stable and rewarding position for an experienced SLP committed to fostering communication development in K-12 learners.
In this role, you’ll manage a caseload of approximately 60 students across multiple locations, collaborating closely with staff and families to ensure all students reach their fullest potential. The interview process includes a meeting with the Coordinator of Evaluations, highlighting the importance of teamwork and expertise in comprehensive assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as assigned
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to evidence-based therapy practices and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and direct speech/language therapy for assigned students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in team meetings as needed
