You'll enjoy a consistent assignment at a single elementary school, providing structure for you and continuity for your students.

What we’re looking for:

  • Hold an active Colorado Teacher License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21).
  • Experienced in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with affective needs.
  • Comfortable collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance and completing time-sensitive district credentialing paperwork quickly.
  • Skilled at adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs and facilitate their social-emotional growth.
  • Prefer experience in an elementary school setting, but a strong background in special education is welcomed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Affective Needs Teacher for a dedicated caseload at Leroy Elementary, guiding students toward academic and behavioral success.
  • Create, modify, and implement IEP goals aligned with each student’s unique strengths and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff to develop and deliver targeted interventions and supports.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and classroom activities, ensuring compliance with state and district requirements.
  • Engage in school meetings and team discussions to ensure holistic support for each student.

This contract position is available for an immediate start and extends through October 2nd, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours at one school location.
