OB Hospitalist/Laborist
Job Description
We are seeking an OB Hospitalist/Laborist to enhance our comprehensive practice situated in the scenic Twin Tiers Region of Upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our organization is dedicated to offering cutting-edge practice environments along with a fully supportive staff. We serve as a clinical campus for medical students from a local osteopathic college and host residency training programs in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
As part of our commitment to ensuring a high standard of safety in labor and delivery, we have developed a full-time laborist program. Our facility boasts the only Level III NICU in the region and includes a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist on our team. We take pride in our recent recognition as a Healthgrades 5-Star facility for both vaginal and C-section deliveries.
Position OverviewThis full-time role involves working 7 shifts per month, which can be a mix of 12- or 24-hour shifts as the primary laborist on-site. Off-campus backup coverage is available. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing both low and high-risk patients during labor and delivery
- Collaborating with Maternal Fetal Medicine and neonatology specialists
- Providing consultations in the Emergency Department and inpatient services as needed

Candidate Qualifications- MD/DO, Board Eligible/Board Certified
- Current New York State professional license
