Position Overview:

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist to enhance our growing faculty team within the Department of Otolaryngology. This full-time, 12-month salaried role offers an open academic rank and includes attending privileges at a Level 1 trauma center, which serves the South Central and West Florida regions.

The ideal candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists and engage with the local community to elevate pediatric otolaryngology services.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

  • Enhance the training of otolaryngology residents through a specialized pediatric rotation that focuses on complex surgical procedures.

  • Encourage and support research initiatives led by residents in the field of pediatric otolaryngology.

  • Establish a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program within a two-year timeframe.

Clinical:

  • Deliver exceptional medical and surgical care to pediatric patients, prioritizing preventive measures and improved health outcomes.

  • Manage referrals from the emergency department at Tampa General Hospital, Brandon Healthplex, and nearby communities.

  • Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and community outreach to showcase the department's expertise.

Administrative:

  • Play a role in the growth and strategic planning of the department.

  • Support educational and research objectives through mentorship and leadership.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Department Chair.

Qualifications:

  • MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

  • Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.

  • Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

  • Proven excellence in teaching, clinical practice, and service.

  • For candidates applying for senior ranks, a history of scholarly contributions and recognition in the field is required.
