University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking hepatologists and transplant hepatologists interested in helping build the next chapter of hepatology care on the Gulf Coast.

\n

UTMB has identified hepatology as its highest-priority recruitment focus and is making a significant institutional commitment to hepatology expansion, including development of a future liver transplant program, expanded liver disease services, recruitment of additional transplant-focused specialists, and substantial investment in clinical and research infrastructure.

\n

\n

This position offers far more than a traditional faculty role. The incoming physician will have the opportunity to shape clinical strategy, participate in program development, collaborate with emerging transplant leadership, and help create a comprehensive hepatology service that will serve a rapidly growing patient population.

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • \n
  • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
  • \n
  • Advanced training in Hepatology or Transplant Hepatology preferred
  • \n
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • \n
