\nWhat you’ll do\n
\n
\nAs a Family Law Associate Attorney, you’ll manage your own cases while collaborating with experienced attorneys and a dedicated team.\n
\n
\n*Key responsibilities include:*\n
\n
\n* Manage family law matters from intake through resolution, including:\n
\n* *Divorce / matrimonial actions*\n
\n* *Child custody and visitation*\n
\n* *Child support / spousal support (maintenance)*\n
\n* *Other Family Court proceedings*\n
\n* Draft and review legal documents: pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, affidavits, etc.\n
\n* Conduct legal research and develop case strategies\n
\n* Communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel\n
\n* Regularly litigate, including hearings, trials, conferences, and other proceedings as needed\n
\n* Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support teams to deliver an excellent client experience\n
\n
\nRequired qualifications\n
\n
\n* *Juris Doctor (J.D.)* from an accredited law school\n
\n* *Active license in good standing to practice in New York State *\n
\n* Strong client-service mindset and high ethical standards\n
\n* Highly responsive to clients and skilled in communication, organization, and case management\n
\n* Ability to work independently while contributing to a team\n
\n
\nPreferred (nice-to-have) experience\n
\n
\n* *Family law experience* preferred, but strong candidates with a demonstrated desire for a career as a family law attorney will be considered\n
\n* Experience managing a caseload with deadlines and performance metrics\n
\n* Comfort with practice management technology and modern workflows\n
\n* Billable hours structure\n

\n*Annual compensation:* *$90,000 – $170,000*\n
\n*Structure:* Base salary + *percentage of billed fees*, plus performance incentives. All attorneys in our office currently earn over $130,000 under this structure.\n
