Sr Trailer Technician

The Trailer Technician will be responsible for performing intermediate to complex maintenance, service and repair of J.B. Hunt trailers, containers, chassis and other equipment to help us keep our freight moving in a safe and efficient manner.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n

• Perform advanced trailer preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on our trailer inventory, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections
\n
• Troubleshoot and complete repairs to OEM and company standards within SRT and warranty guidelines
\n
• Follow safety procedures and complete work orders
\n
• Support specialized equipment (e.g., refrigerated units) and escalated repairs
\n
• Mentor junior technicians as needed
\n

Minimum Qualifications:\n

\n
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old
\n
• At least 1 years of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trailers or military equivalent
\n
• A/C and DOT (FHWA inspections & air brakes) certified
\n
• Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B. Hunt purchasing program
\n

Preferred:\n

\n
• EPA 608 certification, refrigeration license
\n
• Welding (MIG/stick) and ABS knowledge
\n
