\n The Nurse Practitioner in Perioperative Anesthesia collaborates closely with perioperative and anesthesia teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the surgical continuum.\n
Key Responsibilities:\n
- \n
- Collaborating with perioperative and anesthesia teams to provide comprehensive care to patients preoperatively in the operating rooms at our Boston site \n
- Conducting patient and family interviews; obtaining and documenting medical history, review of systems, and physical examinations as part of the pre-anesthetic evaluation \n
- Educating patients and families regarding the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of anesthesia, and obtaining anesthesia consent \n
- Serving as a consultant and educator to perioperative nursing staff \n
- Acting as a liaison among the anesthesia attending, primary anesthesia team, nursing staff, and families to optimize patient care and communication \n
- Prescribing and administering premedication prior to anesthesia \n
- Working per diem working fully on site for: 10-hour shifts, 6:30am-5pm. No nights, weekends or major holidays \n
Education: \n

- A Master of Science in Nursing \n
- \n
- 5 years of relevant nurse practitioner experience is preferred \n
- \n
- MA licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse \n

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
\nAny base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
