Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility specializing in pediatric care is seeking a skilled pharmacist to fill a nighttime staff pharmacist role. This position offers the opportunity to impact the lives of young patients while working within a dynamic and supportive environment. The role is a six-month contract starting immediately, with potential for transition to a day shift later in the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert pharmaceutical care during the night shift, covering 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
• Manage inpatient medication orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and inventory control.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapies, with an emphasis on pediatric needs.
• Prepare for and potentially transition to a day shift covering an FMLA absence starting mid-year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas pharmacist license.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Proficiency with Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
• Inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in a pediatric hospital setting.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 7 days on, 7 days off.
• Hours: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
